WHAT TO EXPECT FROM US


As Head of SAP Services, you will be at the heart of the Eckes-Granini ONE.IT and be responsible for all Operations and Service Management related to our SAP environment, which forms our IT backend. As a key person for our overall ONE.IT journey you will be part of the ONE.IT Leadership Team directly reporting to the CIO.
You are leading a cross-country SAP Competence Team of 5 people and will be in charge for all SAP Operations and Service Topics related to SAP AMS, BASIS and 3rd party provider management.

The SAP Operations Management and leading the SAP Competence Team forms the majority of the role and includes areas like the following:

Operations Manager for SAP AMS, BASIS, 3rd party provider
  • Capacity / Priority Management
  • Change Request Pipeline Management
  • Ensure Governance by owning Licence Management, IT Audits, Stakeholder communication, etc.

Leading Global Competence Team
  • People Management and responsibility for 5 direct reports
  • Develop the team, collect and strengthen Eckes-Granini specific SAP knowledge in the team
  • Giving guidance, motivation and direction to the team

Facilitate Technical Projects with the team
  • Owner of the SAP priorities for the team
  • Driver of the SAP Tech project roadmap
  • Overall responsibility on tech projects (either own management or delegation to the team):
    • System upgrades, System refreshes, SAP GUI / NWBC rollouts
    • Data retention and archiving
    • Decommissioning of old systems

Being in charge of the overall Service Management for the SAP area comprises of topics like the following:

  • Budget Ownership, CR approval and Invoice Management (Plan vs actual) 
  • Service Manager for AMS, BASIS, 3rd party provider based on SLAs
  • RFP handling, Service Contract Management, License handling for 3rd parties
  • POC for escalations internally to stakeholders & business / externally to 3rd parties

REQUIREMENTS


WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR


  • Successfully completed vocational training or academic degree in a relevant field
  • Your bring at least 3 - 5 years of experience in a similar position, consulting or inhouse
  • Solid functional SAP background in at least one of the following modules: SD, MM, PP, QM, …
  • Profound understanding of SAP technology, integration and architecture
  • Strong people management skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment in international and cross-country context
  • Experience in management of multiple 3rd party providers
  • Ideally experience in SAP Authorizations, SAP Reporting / Analytics
  • Decision taker and people developer
  • Willingness to travel on occasional basis within Europe (e.g. Macon, Budapest, Barcelona)
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills in English / preferably also German required
  • As a plus
    • Background as SAP Consultant
    • ITIL Certification
    • Project Management skills and practical experience (e.g. PMI, Scrum, Prince 2 Certifications)
