JOB PROFILE
WHAT TO EXPECT FROM US
- Generate highly profitable new business by developing state-of-the-art beverage solutions
- Recipe development: deliver beverage solutions with single raw materials, compounds and syrups, that meet the brief (price and performance)
- Develop and improve knowledge and expertise leadership (= technical competence) relevant for competitive beverages solutions
- Transfer and exploit new expertise into development of EG solutions to support strategic business growth
- Evaluation and use of new raw materials, e.g., concentrates or flavors (in cooperation with suppliers)
- Development of recipe optimizations (e.g., due to legal, raw material or cost-specific changes)
- Applying best practice project management and ensuring regulatory and legal compliance
- Drive continuous improvement to deliver productivity gains (and strategic differentiation)
- Continuously benchmark quality and innovation level of own technical solutions vs. market standards
- Provide technical consultancy and support to internal matrix functions (e.g., QA, supply chain, Procurement, Controlling)
- Accurate and reliable preparation of RTDs/samples according to recipe and mixing instructions on a laboratory or pilot plant scale
- Support/supervision of scale-up in production facility for trial or first productions
- Generation of raw material & product specifications
- Ensure process compliance in accordance with GMP manufacturing, work safety, health safety and environmental regulations
CONDITIONS
YOU BRING IT WITH YOU
- Food science/technology degree or equivalent level, preferably masters
- At least 5-7 years’ experience in a technical development role within the food and beverage industry (preferably in a global organization; ideally B2B)
- Must have strong broad demonstrable beverage development experience with proven track record and significant international expertise
- Mastery of MS-office programs and SAP
- High degree of flexibility, independence and team player ability
- Commercial and business acumen – able to deliver against short timelines and within agreed budgets
- Willingness to travel, international travels as well as regular presence in Nieder-Olm
