YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Take overall end-to-end responsibility for identifying, evaluating and selecting suppliers (mainly in cooperation with R&D and QA)
  • Develop and align negotiation strategy & tactics for each supplier
  • Build an effective network of main and alternative suppliers, ensure a professional relationship management
  • Establish business contacts, prepare market analyses and requested data, work out strategies and tactics to align with the Director Procurement; participate in negotiations and finalize the contract management in SAP
  • Evaluate, benchmark and monitor performance of the suppliers, take corrective actions if necessary; handle complaints
  • Ensure effective material management; process purchasing-related documents; update and distribute information
  • Cooperate with other functions, contribute to innovation/optimization projects by providing procurement expert’s input, recommendations and researching on the relevant data
  • Initiate and lead internal procurement projects to improve purchasing methods and drive costs down, drive the implementation of new tools and processes (e.g. BPC, etc.)

YOUR COMPETENCIES:


  • A degree in business administration or in industrial engineering (University or University of applied sciences), preferable with major in Business or Procurement
  • First experience in procurement
  • Good negotiation skills and eagerness to learn
  • Fluent German and English in writing and speaking
  • Excellent communication and social skills
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High degree of engagement, independence and team player ability
  • Mastery of MS-office programs and ideally SAP knowledge
