YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • leverage scientific and regulatory expertise to enable sustainable business growth
  • provide agile, strategic regulatory support to the R&D Team; collaborating on solutions to address regulatory risks in order to
  • grow and expand our current and new beverage categories and develop solutions to minimize regulatory barriers
  • develop and improve regulatory knowledge and expertise leadership (= technical competence) within the R&D Team
  • constantly monitor developments and changes in regulations and legislations on European level (including country specific regulations) with early escalation of new regulations and legislations to ensure compliance
  • provide input upon request for R&D projects during project development to check the compliance with local regulations advise in case of any needed changes
  • proactively keep abreast of key scientific and emerging regulatory trends and developments in policies, regulations, and nutrition science that can unlock growth opportunities for our business in the product, ingredient, or communications space
  • collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a science-based perspective, developing scientific and regulatory enabling strategies, which create an environment that provides flexibility and standards for product expansion.
  • translate complex regulatory, scientific, and nutritional information into simple, easy to understand facts for consumers and other internal and external stakeholders
  • compliance check of R&D relevant documentation (e.g., supplier specifications, supplier certificates, …)

requirements

YOUR COMPETENCIES:


  • Food chemist (including 2nd state examination) degree or equivalent level, preferably PhD
  • at least 5-10 years’ experience in regulatory role within the food and beverage industry (preferably B2B)
  • strong developed communication skills
  • excellent ability to work both independently and within a teamproactive and solution-oriented working, capable of taking initiative
  • high sense of ownership and responsibility, high level of commitment and personal integrity
  • developing and leveraging networks with various stakeholders (internally and externally)
  • willingness to travel, international travels (upon request) as well as regular presence in Nieder-Olm mandatory
