YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Generate highly profitable new business by developing state-of-the-art beverage solutions
  • Leading, coordination and prioritization of projects within the new product development team to ensure a timely completion and high-quality products
  • International technical key contact for R&D Project Office as well as active business partner within the innovation process
  • In-depth understanding of the technical requirements, decision making process, business strategies and brand focus
  • Strengthen and execute the strategic goals and standards of the one R&D organization
  • Lead and guide recipe development: deliver beverage solutions with single raw materials, compounds and syrups, that meet the brief (price and performance), applying best practice project management and ensuring regulatory and legal compliance
  • Advanced project and time management; overview and coordination of projects
  • Efficient team resource allocation and management
  • Continuously benchmark quality and innovation level of own technical solutions
  • Drive and improve the new product development team competence and the career development process alongside one R&D strategy
  • Active sharing of knowledge with technical community and active member of sensory panel (trained)
  • Ensure process compliance in accordance with GMP manufacturing, work safety, health safety and environmental regulations
  • Personnel responsibility for Intl. new product development team

YOUR COMPETENCIES:


  • Food/beverage science/technology degree or equivalent level, preferably masters
  • At least 10 years’ experience in a technical development/managerial role within the food and beverage industry
  • Must have strong broad demonstrable beverage development experience, with significant expertise (ideally internationally)
  • Commercial and business acumen. – able to deliver against short timelines and within agreed budgets
  • Strong leadership skills with solid ability to team build and delegate appropriate activities to direct team and beyond
  • Strong skills in planning, coordinating and organizing
  • High degree of flexibility, independence and team player ability
  • Willingness to travel (international travels as well as regular presence in Nieder-Olm mandatory)
  • Mastery of MS-office programs and SAP
